On Saturday, Oct. 13, Arizona Roller Derby will host a boot camp like no other, led by the nationally ranked Tent City Terrors.
We start the day at 10 a.m. with killer drills, awesome strategies and skating secrets. Improve your derby skills and get a great workout!
When: Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: AZRD Hot House, 231 S. 49th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85043
What do you need: Full derby gear! Quad skates, helmet, mouth guard, wrist guards, knee pads, elbow pads, and two scrimmage shirts; one black, one white.
Who: Skaters 18 and older with valid insurance.
Why: Why not?? Learn advanced training techniques from a nationally ranked WFTDA travel team to help push your skating to the next level!
Cost: $40.00 for online registration and payment/$45.00 at the door

11:30 – 12:15 — Body & Mind: Licensed Sports Psychologist and Body Limitations
12:15 – 12:20 — Gear Up
12:20 – 1:00 — Breakouts: Jammer/Pivot/Blocker Groups
1:00 – 2:00 — For the Love of the Game: Level Breakouts for Games – Special Guest Coach Surprise!
After your workout, take a nap, clean up (or not!) and then join us at 7 p.m. at the Pollack Tempe Cinemas, 1825 East Elliot Road, Tempe, AZ 85284. Grab a bag of popcorn and a comfy seat and get ready to view the most talked about movie of the year, “DERBY BABY! A Story of Love, Addiction and Rink Rash.”
